Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) is a social cash transfer programme which provides cash and health insurance to extremely poor households across Ghana to alleviate short term poverty and encourage long term human capital development. Currently the total number of beneficiaries in the District are Thirteen thousand eight hundred and sixty two (13,862) from 3,791 households. The Pusiga District Assembly has disbursed an amount of 1,140,608.00 for 2019 to the beneficiaries. Government is committed to expanding the policy by including more households.
