Action Aid Ghana a non- governmental organization in their quest to promote health care delivery have donated blankets, mattresses and pillows to 12 health facilities in the Pusiga district.
A brief ceremony was organized to handover the donated items to the various beneficiary health facilities in the district. Present were the staff of the district assembly, Hon. Assemblymen of the beneficiary health facilities located in their communities, health volunteers of beneficiary health facilities, and staff of the Ghana Health directorate in the district.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Abdulai Zubeiru thanked action aid for supporting the district and added that the items would be distributed equally to all beneficiary health facilities in the district. He also extended his heart-felt gratitude to the country director of Action aid who happens to be a celebrated son of Pusiga for his organizations support.
The DCE urged all the beneficiary health facilities to take good care of the items donated to them and that monitoring would be done occasionally to ascertain to the judicious use of the items. “Each health centre would be given 5 blankets, 5 mattresses and 5 pillows.” He stated.
Mr. Alan Frank Jabuni, district public health officer received the items on behalf of the district health director, thanked action aid for the items and the DCE for his good works for the district. He added that the items would augment the already existing stock in the facilities.
