APPUSA DONATES NOSE MASK, DISPOSABLE HAND GLOVE TO SUPPORT THE FIGHT OF COVID-19 IN THE PUSIGA DISTRICT

The Association of Pusiga People leaving in the United States of America (APPUSA) who are indigents of the Pusiga in the Upper East Region donated sterile nose masks and disposable hand gloves to help fight the novel corona virus (covid-19).
Speaking at a brief handing over ceremony held on Tuesday, 28 July 2020 at the conference hall of the district assembly, Mr. Azumah Somaila, representing APPUSA handed over the curtains of nose masks and disposable hand gloves to the district. He urge the district to put the items received to the best of use and that more of such kind of benevolence would be received the association.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Abdulai Zubeiru who received the items on behalf of the assembly thanked APPUSA for their always-caring posture for the district. He added that APPUSA have in the years past supported the assembly in various endeavors such as supporting the girl’s model school with chairs, the youth with assorted physical education wares etc.
The DCE further stated that the items received would be given to the district health directorate for onward allocations to the health facilities in the district.
Mr, Alan Frank Jabuni, acting on behalf of the district health director received the items from the DCE and added that the items came at the right time to help the facilities. He thanked APPUSA for their generosity and prayed that they continue with their good works for the assembly.
